  • You can help by converting this article, if appropriate. I didn't have access to speakers the last few days and was just monitoring on headphones, which were - and still are - unaffected by the Mac's volume control (again I could change levels on ALL outs with the Mac's volume control on my old MacBook Pro/Logic 8/FF400 setup). This article is in list format but may read better as prose. In terms of the Mac's F10-12 volume control, the AMS showed it was only affecting main analogue outs 1+2 but nothing else.

I tried this again several times now and it's finally changed back to stereo headphone volume control - don't know why it didn't earlier (nor why this was never an issue on my previous Mac/Logic 8/FF400 setup), but at least it's finally working now! Early on, when the issue first occurred, I had tried resetting the headphone out to stereo by keeping it pushed in - as you also then suggested - but nothing changed. As it turned out only one of the headphone outs was responding when I turned the volume knob, sometimes the left, sometimes the right channel.
